Tongue-tied
I have a million things to do but I can’t focus. I’m having trouble coming up with coherent thoughts. You got me tongue-tied.
How do you know the way to my heart so well? Did I leave enough breadcrumbs on my way up the mountain? How far am I from the top? I hear it might get harder to breathe up there and that my legs might shake, but looks like a killer view. Maybe I should keep climbing.
What if I have a case of vertigo,
will you catch me?
What if I get lost,
will you come find me?
If the weather allows me and I have enough supplies, I’m afraid I might want to pitch a tent and plant a flag at the top. Is the park ranger going to be upset with me? I don’t know how much time I’ll have to enjoy my stay, but I am hoping to see the stars at least once.
